Sony Is No Longer Developing Games For The Vita

According to Dualshockers that have translated from Vita will no longer have first party developed games from Sony. They are focusing all their efforts on the Playstation 4. The Vita has been struggling with sales since it was released. Some of the reason have been the very expensive memory card for the console. The games have also struggled with first party. The big titles like Uncharted Golden Abyss, Tearaway and Killzone Mercenary were all that the console got. There were some other hits like Freedom Wars and Persona 4 Golden. But there was never big confidence in the console from Sony.

The console itself is really good, with solid hardware and hardware to it. It can be used as a controller and you get titles from other platforms as part of a deal with some games. You can also play it over the internet with Remote play. All really good things added to the Vita. Yet when you don’t show confidence in the console, you lose people that might want to buy it.

I have to say that the mistake is the lack of titles for the console and the huge mistake that are the memory cards. The Vita is a great console, with good games and good capabilities. If Sony had handled the console correct, the console would not be in the state it is now.
