Hideo Kojima Not Fired According To Metal Gear Solid Voice Actress

Voice actress Donna Burke has gone back and corrected herself. This happened after Konami had to correct the voice actress on Hideo Kojima being fired from the company. This is now according to her and Konami not the case and she has changed her statement.

Burke tweeted this out on April 9th, where she said in the article that Kojima was fired.

There have been a lot of rumors that Hideo Kojima might be leaving or have been fired the last few weeks. Burke made a statement on Facebook saying:

“Konami is correct in that Kojima has not actually been fired. As I stated previously he and his team are still working hard on getting the game out. My sincere apologies to Konami, Hideo Kojima and the fans for giving the wrong impression.

I was trying to add my voice to Otsuka-san pleading with the fans to not abandon MGSV because of the stuff happening at Konami and to throw my support behind Kojima and everyone who has worked over the last five years and is working to make this game the greatest ever.

This is true.

Kojima himself confirmed in a statement that he was still “100% involved” in the completion of The Phantom Pain, and was “determined to make it the greatest game I’ve directed to date.”

So my apologies for upsetting you all.”

This means as we speak, Hideo Kojima is still in the company. He’s working on completing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. He has also announced that he’s going to be working on the upcoming Silent Hill game.
