2K has decided to put the servers back up for NBA 2K14, and extend the server length from 18 months to 27 months. Meaning the servers will be up another few months. This comes after 2K decided to shut down the servers, deleting save data on player progression.
After the massive complaints and outrage of losing their progression, 2K have put up the servers again. They’ve listened to the players and extended the actual time of the servers being up. 2K had this to say when responding to the complaints to Gamespot:
_”It gives our players more time to experience and enjoy the highest rated NBA simulation video game franchise.” _
was said in a statement, it continued with.
“The opinions of our community continue to have a positive impact on our business decisions as we strive to create the best possible experience for all of our fans.”
2K have listened to the fans this time, but only after the massive negative feedback they received from doing it. What do you think of the DRM 2K have on their games? Do you think they did a good thing here? Let us know in the comments below.
